Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Advanced Business and Finance Studies (JABFS) is committed to ensuring the quality, integrity, and academic rigor of all published content through a double-blind peer review process. This process guarantees that both the reviewer and the author remain anonymous throughout the evaluation, promoting fairness and objectivity.

1. Review Model

  • Double-Blind Review – The identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other to avoid bias.

  • Independent Evaluation – Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two qualified reviewers who are experts in the relevant subject area.

2. Review Process Steps

  1. Initial Screening – All submissions undergo preliminary assessment by the Editor-in-Chief or an assigned Section Editor to ensure alignment with the journal’s scope and compliance with basic submission requirements.

  2. Plagiarism Check – Manuscripts are screened using similarity detection software before being sent for review.

  3. Reviewer Assignment – Suitable reviewers are selected based on subject expertise, research experience, and absence of conflicts of interest.

  4. Review Timeline – Reviewers are given 2–4 weeks to evaluate manuscripts and provide detailed feedback.

  5. Decision Making – Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

    • Accept

    • Accept with minor revisions

    • Revise and resubmit (major revisions)

    • Reject

  6. Revision Stage – Authors are expected to address all reviewer comments and submit a revised manuscript within the specified deadline.

  7. Final Decision – The editorial board reviews the revised submission and makes the final publication decision.

3. Reviewer Guidelines

  • Reviews must be objective, constructive, and respectful.

  • Reviewers should identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.

  • Confidentiality must be maintained at all times.

  • Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed to the editor immediately.

4. Ethical Considerations in Peer Review

  • Reviewers must not use unpublished information from the manuscript for personal advantage.

  • Suspected plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical research practices must be reported to the editor.

5. Transparency and Quality Assurance

  • The editorial team monitors review quality and may provide feedback to reviewers.
