
Information For Authors
1. Manuscript Submission
All manuscripts should be submitted electronically via the JABFS Open Journal Systems (OJS) submission portal. The link to the submission system can be found on the official journal website. For any inquiries, authors may contact the editorial office at: editor@jabfs.online.
Submitted manuscripts should represent original work that is not currently under consideration by another journal or publication. Simultaneous submissions are strictly prohibited.
2. Manuscript Preparation
To ensure a smooth review process, authors should prepare their manuscripts according to the following guidelines:

File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or LaTeX.

Language: All manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English.

Length: The manuscript should typically be between 5,000 and 8,000 words (including references, tables, and appendices). Longer manuscripts may be considered at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.

Structure: The manuscript should be organized as follows:

Title Page: Contains the title, author names, affiliations, ORCID IDs, and contact information for the corresponding author. This page is submitted separately to ensure triple-blind review.

Abstract: A concise summary of 200–250 words. The abstract should clearly state the purpose, methodology, key findings, and implications of the research. It should not contain any undefined abbreviations or references.

Keywords: 4–6 keywords or phrases that accurately represent the content of the paper.

Main Body: The text should be structured logically, typically including an Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.

References: Complete reference list formatted according to the journal's style (see below).

3. Referencing Style
JABFS uses the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition referencing style. Authors must ensure that in-text citations and the reference list strictly conform to this style.

In-text citations: (Smith, 2023) or (Smith & Jones, 2024).

Reference List: Alphabetized by the first author's last name.

4. Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to JABFS are subject to a triple-blind peer review process:

Initial Editorial Screening: The Editor-in-Chief checks the manuscript for suitability, originality, and adherence to basic formatting requirements. Desk rejections occur at this stage.

Triple-Blind Peer Review: Manuscripts passing the initial screening are sent to at least two independent expert reviewers. The identities of the reviewers, authors, and editors are concealed from one another.

Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' reports, the Editor makes one of the following decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
5. Ethical Guidelines
JABFS adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics. Authors are expected to comply with the following:

Originality: The work must be original and appropriately cite the work of others. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.

Plagiarism Screening: All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using specialized software. Submissions with a high similarity score will be rejected.

Authorship: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper.

Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript.
6. Copyright, Open Access, and Licensing
JABFS is a fully Open Access journal, meaning all articles are immediately and permanently free to read, download, and share.

Author Copyright: Authors retain the copyright of their published work.

License: Published articles are made available under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) . This license permits sharing the work as long as it is properly attributed, not used for commercial purposes, and not modified.
7. Publication Fees (Article Processing Charge - APC)
Submission of manuscripts to JABFS is completely free.
An Article Processing Charge (APC) is applicable only upon final acceptance of the article for publication. The APC structure is as follows:

National Authors (Pakistan): 15,000 PKR

International Authors: 50 USD
Waiver Policy: The journal offers a full waiver of the APC for authors from low-income countries or those experiencing genuine financial challenges. Waiver requests are evaluated confidentially on a case-by-case basis.
